About

How it all started

My love affair with photography began in my teens when I was gifted an old Nikon film camera from my English teacher in high school. Apparently I had been hand plucked to help with the desperate need for a senior yearbook photographer. I was thrown in head first taking portraits of the other students, completely oblivious about how to even hold a camera. With lots of improvising and funny faces, I somehow survived and discovered an incredible world of beauty and magic.

After years of photography courses and hiding away in darkrooms, I set off to follow my passion and photograph what I loved most – people.

In time, with much experience in the food and fashion world, my passions and style expanded and evolved to include so much more.  I could not help but fall in love with and capture all the little things and beautiful moments in life.

Now I shoot both film and digital – I think both have their place in the world but if you ever ask me what I prefer I will always tell you film. It’s seriously magic.

A bit more about me

I was born in the rainy side of America and now living in the rainy side of London – hmm I didn’t really think through the weather situation but I have subsequently found myself attached to an umbrella my entire life. Thankfully I’m close enough to warm and sunny destinations to feed my massive desire for vitamin D and ethnic food.

I love quirky things, perfect coffee, crooked smiles, everything about kids, the trees, sunsets, salt, stripes and Sunday mornings. I love the sea and just about any exotic place in the world. I obsess over stationary and peonies and really yummy food. I love mushy love stories and grandparents still holding hands after all their years together. This list could honestly go on forever but I’ll leave a bit of mystery lingering for the day we meet.
